Summer school will be held on the following dates: June 24, 25, 26 and July 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30
Student Hours: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Transportation will be provided to centralized bus stops within Rainier School District boundaries. More information will be provided prior to the start of summer school regarding the bus routes and stops.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Kindercamp: This program is intended for students transitioning to kindergarten in the fall of 2025. The purpose of this summer program is to ease students into the transition to kindergarten by providing a supportive and engaging experience that builds students’ social-emotional skills, fosters confidence, familiarizes students with school routines, and introduces early literacy, math, and science skills. Only students enrolled in kindergarten at Hudson Park Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year will be eligible to register for Kindercamp. Space is limited! Families will be contacted by June 20 to confirm their student’s participation in Kindercamp.
Grades 1-6 Summer School: This program has been made possible with grant funds and is designed to accelerate learning and increase academic growth, with a particular emphasis on advancing literacy. Summer school will include math, science, and language arts, along with enrichment activities that support academic growth and student well-being through hands-on, inquiry-based learning and evidence-based instruction. Participation is based on priority of need in reading. Student capacity is based on staffing. Families of students selected for grades 1-6 summer school will be contacted by June 20 to confirm their student’s participation in summer school.
Junior High Summer School: Summer school will be offered for students entering grades 7, 8, and 9, focusing on improving literacy and math skills. Students who have failed two or more classes AND/OR are two or more grade levels behind based on i-Ready scores are welcome to sign up. Student capacity is based on staffing, so register as soon as possible if you’d like your student to participate. High School Summer School: Students entering grades 10, 11, and 12, who are two or more credits behind are invited to sign up for summer school. Focus will be on core classes, primarily ELA and math, with enrichment opportunities. Classes will be a mix of synchronous and asynchronous. Student capacity is based on staffing, so register as soon as possible if you’d like your student to participate. Summer Lunch Program
Meal pick-ups will be free for all children 18 and under. There will be enough food provided for 3, 4, or 5 days for both breakfast and lunch. All pick-up locations will be at the airlock/Commons. Enter through the “Buses only” driveway and stop at the tent.

Students attending summer school will eat breakfast and lunch at school. On Thursday, students will be able to take home breakfast and lunch for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
