Rainier Junior Senior High School Graduation Ceremony 2020
June 6, 2020 8:20pm
Plan B: NEW PLAN! No drive-in ceremony!
We have worked hard to make this graduation meaningful to seniors and their families by providing a variety of activities and some memorabilia. We had hopes of having a plan A to carry us through graduation night. However, we have to move to plan B.
Due to heavy rain and lightning predicted for Saturday night, we will not be able to project the graduation ceremony on the big screen as planned. Additionally, we have found that our projector does not provide enough lumens to project while there is still daylight. We have worked all week to try to make it work, but has not. As a result, we would recommend that you stay in the comfort and warmth of your home to view the ceremony with your family. If you need internet access to view the ceremony, we have hot spots in the parking lot in front of the Board Room, District Office, NCA and the pool parking lot. Additionally, there will be a thumb drive of the ceremony provided for each student at a later date. The ceremony will start at 8:20pm. The livestream link can be found on the District webpage via the Quick Links.
Graduates will still follow the planned program. The only change is the viewing for families with the big screen on campus. Graduates, please be at the high school at 7:45 p.m. for your room assignment and instructions. Do not forget to bring your cap, gown, tassel, chords and school medals.
Thank you, be safe and stay well.
Mr. Blue, RJSHS Principal
Also, please join us in celebrating our graduating seniors as they drive through Rainier Thursday, June 4, 2020. Seniors will meet at the football parking lot at 6:30 p.m. The parade will start at 7:00 p.m., follow the attached parade route, and end at the Rainier city park. We hope you can join us along the route to show your support. The seniors have accomplished a lot, despite a challenging year. 💚⚓️
