Hello Rainier families!

We are very excited to announce our newest board member Josh Thomas. Josh is community member that has a passion for helping people! The school district currently has another opening for a school board position. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and community impact to make a difference! 

What does a school board do?

School directors work together to oversee the school district. As a board, their primary responsibilities are:

• Hire, supervise and evaluate the superintendent
• Set the vision, mission and strategic goals for the district
• Review, revise and adopt policies
• Establish and oversee the budget
• Serve as community representatives
• Monitor the district’s progress towards its goals
