Dear Rainier School District Community,
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Russ Pickett as the Acting Principal of Rainier Junior Senior High School. Mr. Pickett brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to education. From 1980 to 2008, he served the Rainier School District as a teacher, coach, and administrator, shaping the lives of countless students and supporting staff throughout our community. Following his time in Rainier, he went on to serve as superintendent in two school districts before retiring in 2017.
His return to Rainier reflects his continued passion for education and dedication to student success. Mr. Pickett's leadership, knowledge, and commitment to building strong relationships will be instrumental in fostering a welcoming and safe learning environment where every student can thrive. We are excited to welcome Mr. Pickett back to our district and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our students, staff, and community.
